ABOUT ME

I provide psychotherapy and medication management, with both short-term and longer courses of treatment. I will talk to you about options, so we can formulate a treatment plan tailored to meet your needs.

I work from a psychodynamic perspective, meaning I believe that things that have happened to us in the past profoundly shape who we are now. Talking about these things in a safe space allows you to reconnect with what has happened in a new way. This creates more freedom and choices for how to live your life now.

I also include cognitive and behavioral treatments in my work. The focus here is on identifying specific thoughts and behaviors that get in the way of feeling good and achieving what you set out to do. Goals are written down, homework can be assigned, and progress is evaluated together.

A combination of these approaches works well for many clients. We will work together to find an individual plan that works best for you.
